5 Home Remedies to Control Hair Fall

A person’s hair often speaks volumes of his personality. Beautiful thick hair is the pride and asset of any person. While some are blessed with this kind of hair naturally, there are people who suffer from hair fall due to many reasons. However, there is no need to despair as there are some simple and easy steps that can be followed to arrest this common problem or to at least control it and lessen the hair falling intensity. Most of these remedies can be carried out in the comfort of your home without having to invest in expensive commercial alternatives.

Coconut oil or coconut milk

Using coconut oil or milk is a very simple solution and will take up very little of your time, especially if you are using the former. If you are using coconut milk, you may have to spend some time in grating the coconut and squeezing the milk out of it. Apply the oil on your hair and give it a massage from the root to the tip. Wash it off after nearly an hour and a half. In case you are using coconut milk, mix it with a little water and do the same thing as with oil. However, allow it to stay overnight and wash your hair the next day.

Egg white

This remedy has been in use for a long time. Break an egg into a bowl taking care to separate the white from the yellow. Mix the white with a teaspoon of olive oil to form a uniform paste. Apply this paste on the entire length of hair and scalp and let it remain for close to half an hour. Rinse the hair with cold water followed by a mild shampoo.

Hibiscus

This wonderful flower helps in much more than lessening hair fall as far as hair care is concerned. It also gives hair the required nourishment, treats dandruff and controls premature graying. Crush a few flowers into a bowl and add a little coconut oil or sesame oil to it. Mix to get a paste like consistency. Now apply the mixture on the scalp and the hair. After a couple of hours, use cold water to wash it off. Do a second wash using a mild shampoo like for the egg white remedy.

Fenugreek

Commonly known as methi, fenugreek is a rich source of hormone antecedents that play a key role in rebuilding hair follicles and triggering hair growth due to the nicotinic acid and proteins present. Soak a full cup of seeds overnight in water and grind them to a paste next morning using the same water. Apply the paste uniformly throughout the hair length and let it get soaked in your hair for a little more than half an hour. Rinse your hair thoroughly to remove the stickiness. For best results, do this continuously for a month.

Beetroot

The red vegetable contains almost all the nutrients required for healthy hair growth such as calcium, potassium, phosphorus, proteins, vitamins B and C and carbohydrates. You can either include beetroot juice as part of your regular diet or boil a few beetroot leaves in water and then grind it with henna into a paste. Let it stay for about half an hour and wash it off. Do this as often as you can in a week.

The Internet is a good source to look out for other ways to control hair fall. It is worth noting that home remedies may take longer than their chemical counterparts to show the desired results. Therefore, it is recommended that you be patient when you try them out. Also, remember to keep using them on a regular basis.
